ESSA (English Skills Assessment) is an English certification program and test designed by Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, Indonesia. The test consists of 50 listening and 50 reading questions, aimed at evaluating students' proficiency in English. Though both listening and reading are receptive skills, the test emphasizes the active use of analytical skills, such as logical reasoning, critical thinking, summarizing, and data analysis. The content integrates topics relevant to Indonesian socio-economics, education, biography, and popular science, offering a comprehensive assessment within an academic and real-world context.
